I took a major NG break for a bit. Mostly, I was focused on different priorities (laid off, blah blah) - but I'm in good ways now.

I don't have a good headline, but here it is!

My name is Ashley, and I go by BleakNomad online for posting art. This site used to be one of my favorite places to visit, and figured now is the best time.

Not to sound like a broken record, but I'm a burnt out millennial trying to find their way in life like everyone else. Creating used to be my favorite outlet and that faded well into adulthood. I had all these big dreams of moving away to the West Coast for better opportunities, and because Ohio sucks.

FFWD through all the bumps in the road, a genetic condition kicked in and I'm stuck with an annoying disease that causes tons of muscle pain. With this, being stuck not doing what I truly loved, blah blah blah -

I moved from Ohio to California this year!

I got tired of not helping myself and worrying about feelings to make these big changes, but I feel more at peace. Not only that, I've gotten off my a** and make myself create as much as possible.

What type of art??

Well, with the name BleakNomad - I'm wanting to create art that pushes boundaries and speaks about a lot of the systemic issues in our society. I also draw cute things :3

In a more serious manner - I'm developing a graphic comic series that is finally starting to take shape, so I'll definitely share the process of that.
